Global and Task Prerequisites

Prerequisites allow you to block work, or warn users, if a sequence of actions is not being followed.

Smart Safety Pro allows you to configure two types of prerequisites.

A global prerequisite is a task that must be fulfilled before the user is allowed to do any work in the app. The most common example of a global prerequisite is an annual training requirement. This is configured by creating the template for the training you want your users to perform, creating the task which sets the interval of time for which the training is valid, and then creating a prerequisite that is assigned generally and not to a specific project.

A task prerequisite is useful when a sequence of tasks must be completed in order. For example, in a project, you may require an initial safety review, and then weekly or daily inspections, and then a final assessment upon completion. With task prerequisites, you can require that the initial safety review task be completed before a daily or weekly inspection task on a site can be completed, or that your supervisor perform a daily tool box talk before any work on the site is allowed by subordinate workers. These sequences can be customized to ensure procedural compliance for all your users.

Prerequisite actions allow you to block work if they are not met, or warn users that specific prerequisites have not been met but they are still allowed to proceed.
