You can only have one piece of equipment per lockout procedure in Smart Safety Pro. This is to ensure that scan codes remain unique throughout the system for each piece of equipment and its active, approved procedure.
In the cases where you have multiple pieces of the same equipment, after you create and approve a procedure for one piece of equipment, you can choose to share that procedure to the other pieces of equipment that can use the same procedure and images.
You will find the share button under the image on the LOTO Procedure Record screen of the procedure you want to share. When you select this button, it will give you a list of equipment in your system that does not yet have a procedure, and then you can select which equipment to which you will share the procedure. Once you confirm, a copy of this procedure will be made and shared with each selected piece of equipment. These equipment piece will now be linked in the future, and if you update the main procedure you used to make a copy, it will unapprove and reapprove all the linked procedures.
If you ever need to change the pictures, or anything else on the procedure for one of these shared pieces of equipment, you can choose to unapprove that specific procedure and make youre edits. That will remove the procedure from the linked relationship and treat it as its own, stand alone procedure moving forward.
For efficiency and accuracy, a procedure can only be shared after it is approve, and it is copied in the approved state.
